Friday Book Club

Time to talk books! What are you reading and loving this week?

My latest read was Tanya Huff's An Ancient Peace, a spinoff from her awesome Valor series. Loved this book too.

Okay, your turn!

back for another round of Shards of Hope, this book never gets old. Also this week we have mainly been reading Nora Roberts, loved the Stars of Fortune, good start to a new series, and did a little detour through the JAK book Secret Sisters, which was worth reading but not one of her best. Seemed a little bit detached for me. All in all a good week :)

I enjoyed Karen Templeton's The Real Mr. Right. Reading Jane Ann Krentz' Secret Sisters and enjoying it so far. Real life just got the way of most of my reading time this week ;)

Ilona Andrews' Magic Stars. Not b..ad, but the story was too short and rather - fluffy. Not as solid as previous short stories.

C.S. Marks' Elfhunter. Just started. Nice graphics.

Grace Draven's Crow Awakened was a good snippet-like read.

Anne Mccaffrey's Doona Trilogy re-read. Always enjoyable and wish there was more.

Just finished Twelve Kings in Sharakhai by Bradley P. Beaulieu and started Black Wolves by Kate Elliott. Both very engaging. :)

last two days I've finished the first 3 books of C.L. Wilson's Tairen series, I knew the last one had been released a while back, just never got around to reading it, so now I'm re-reading the series XD and feeling the pull of Janny Wurts Light and Shadow series.

also read Janny Wurts short story Reins of Destiny and Ilona Andrew's Magic Stars :3 and dipped a little into Naasir's book :)

hmmm as well as that I read Any Duchess will do by Tessa Dare (decent, and amusing) because I'd read her short story of Once upon a Christmas's Eve.

Was Tanya Huff the author that did the Blood series (that got turned into a tv series)? Name sounds vaguely familiar XD

Just finished "Act Like It" by Lucy Parker which I loved. Also read 2 short stories "Ninja at First Sight" by Penny Reid and "Magic Stars" by Ilona Andrews. Both were good but Magic Stars was short.

Rereading Me and My Shadow by Katie MacAlister. I love her dragon series, especially a demon in Newfoundland dog form named Jim.

As soon as I can, I'll start reading Secret Sisters. Might take a look into Magic Stars.

Just pre-ordered Liam Take Manhattan by Thea Harrison. Can't wait to read it.

I read "Feel the burn" by G.A. Aiken. It's the 8th or 9th book in the "Dragon Kin" series. I really love this series and all the characters. The love story in this book feels kinda like a repeat of the book before, but the story arc is still interesting. A must read for all fans of this series.

Loved "Magic Stars" by Ilona Andrews. Of course it was way too short ;-)
Also started G.A. Aiken's "Feel the burn", but it someone just couldn't snag me like the first books in the series did. Too much like the book before and plainly too silly/ ridiculous.

Magic Stars by Ilona Andrews. Loved it, but now I have so many questions! I've gotten hooked on Carian Cole's series Ashes and Embers. Her latest is Talon. I'm so hooked on these intense, flawed characters. Can't get enough.

Just finished listening to Garth Stein's "The Art of Racing in the Rain". A wonderful story, although it leaves you crying in a spot or two.
